This is a pendant I made for a lady that was in a car crash last week. I had never met her before, but I wanted to do something nice sort of as a 'get well' present. I had never been that close to an accident before (literally less than 10 feet) and the sound was something I could not get out of my head for days. The EMTs said she would be fine, but I was still very worried. (How could you have an accident like that and be fine? I guess I thought they were just saying that so I wouldn't be in the way...)
Her name is Rose, and this was among the ideas that came to mind. She did not sustain any serious injuries, and is doing alright.
I think I may do a few of these pendants, I liked the result of the white paint on top of the capped dichro. I am very happy I invested in the white paint.
fused glass and kiln-fired paint on suede cord, aanraku bail
aww wow, what an inspirational little story. that's really kind of you to do that for someone i loved this necklace before i even read the description, but now i like it even more you deserve a llama badge
Thanks so much! I've had a lot going on lately, so her accident shook me more than I think it normally would have. She liked it too. Thank you very much for our kind words!
